Risk Business Analyst II

The Operational Risk Business Analyst II will be responsible for handling complex issues within the risk management framework, focusing on operational compliance with GSE and investor requirements. This senior role involves in-depth collaboration between Operations and Compliance to ensure rigorous enforcement of risk management protocols.

What you will do:

• Advanced Risk Analysis: Lead complex risk identification and assessment initiatives, working directly with senior stakeholders to address high-level strategic and operational objectives.
• Compliance and Regulatory Collaboration: Work closely with the Third Line of Defense to ensure all operational processes comply with GSE and investor requirements, identifying discrepancies and developing solutions to complex compliance issues.
• Cross-Departmental Risk Strategy Coordination: Facilitate the alignment and integration of risk management strategies between Operations and Compliance departments to ensure cohesive and comprehensive risk oversight.
• Strategic Project Management: Oversee complex projects with significant impact on risk management outcomes, ensuring alignment with business goals and compliance standards.
• Sophisticated Process Improvement: Utilize in-depth analysis to enhance or redesign existing risk management frameworks and processes within Operations, ensuring they meet advanced operational and compliance demands.
• Leadership in Continuous Improvement: Lead retrospectives and continuous improvement initiatives, applying advanced problem-solving strategies to optimize risk management practices.
• Senior-Level Reporting and Communication: Develop and present comprehensive risk management reports and strategies to senior management, ensuring clear communication of risk postures and compliance issues.

What we are looking for:

• Knowledge of current industry laws and practices
• Proficient in complex risk assessment and mitigation strategies.
• Experience in developing and implementing long-term risk management frameworks.
• Works well in high pressure, fast paced environment
• Highly effective interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills
• Knowledge of mortgage servicing processes and regulatory requirements.
• Experience with quality assurance software and tools.
• 5+ years of mortgage servicing experience.
• 3-5 years of experience in Risk Management, or a related field, with a focus on operational risk.
• Proven track record of working with compliance frameworks and enhancing risk protocols.
• In-depth knowledge of mortgage servicing processes, regulations, and compliance requirements.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
