The Loss Mitigation Specialist will be responsible for supporting the daily production of active loss mitigation loans through document intake, modification processing, underwriting, and closing.
Essential Functions
- Review and mail final loss mitigation documents to customers for the completion of modifications, ensuring that documentation is accurate and mailed timely
- Receive and process incoming loss mitigation executed documents, validating compliance and accuracy for the final processing of loss mitigation retention options
- Report and update loss mitigation activity in servicing system of record, LoanServ and in 3d party systems as required for processing
- Collaborate with Loss Mitigation SPOC and Underwriting teams to resolve documentation issues as required to finalize retention options
- Review, monitor, and manage daily exception reporting, ensuring all exceptions are cleared timely
- Assist with the management of loss mitigation email boxes to ensure work is moving through the process timely and in adherence with company, investor, and regulatory requirements
- Other duties as assigned by management
Qualifications:
- College degree and 2 years of related work experience or High school diploma and 4 years of related work experience
- Strong Knowledge of Sagent LoanServ servicing system
- Knowledge of Agency Default Servicing Operational Workflows
- Solid organizational skills with the ability to manage a pipeline of inflow and outflow documents
- Working knowledge of all Microsoft Applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Interpersonally savvy with the ability to work independently and collaboratively building rapport to execute on highly visible projects
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to leverage logic and data to solve difficult problems
- Effective at process analysis and management, know how to organize tasks and activities into an efficient workflow
- Ability to deliver projects on-time in a fast-paced environment with competing priorities
- Customer focused with the ability to build effective internal and external relationships
- Resourceful in ability to recognize operational gaps and identify long-term solutions

Work Environment
This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, scanner, printer, and photocopiers. Ability to sit for extended periods of time is essential.
Position Type and Expected Hours of Work
This is a full-time position. Days and hours of work are Monday through Friday, 8:00 am – 5:00 pm. Overtime may be required for business needs.
