Summary/Objective
The AVP of Document Services is responsible for overseeing all aspects of Collateral & Custodial Management, Agency Certification, Image Ingestion and missing document reporting, Lien Release, MERS Oversight, MSR Sale Holdback Reporting and Monitoring, GNMA EBO Collateral Delivery, delivery of documents to the Foreclosure and Bankruptcy as needed for Default Activities Loan Boarding, Quality Assurance, and Image Delivery and Collateral Movement for Deconversions/Loan Sales.
What you will do:
- Oversee the management of collateral files, their contents, and the custodians who store them.
- Ensuring BSI is protected from exposure by ensuring all agency required documents and certifications are completed on time.
- Oversee the Quality Assurance team who performs a Quality Assurance check on critical documents against the loan images.
- Oversee the Image Ingestion into DocStore , ensuring that BSI has all the required documents/images needed to service a mortgage loan. This includes ensuring missing document reporting or Holdback reporting is being sent timely to parties with outstanding items.
- Oversee the collateral movement and timing for Early Buyout Loans as part of the GNMA program, ensuring all certification activities are completed as quickly as possible.
- Oversee the process of Releasing Liens or Satisfaction of Mortgages on loans that have paid in full. The focus is on vendor oversight and tight management of state compliance timelines.
- Management and Oversight of the MERS process, includes E Notes, E Mortgages, and RON. Timely batch delivery and acceptance, timely deactivations and enforcement of AOM Recordiing timelines and MERS Data Quality and exception processing.
- Provides thorough and effective training to all team members.
- Investigates, escalates, and documents issues that threaten successful and timely conversion or deconversion efforts.
- Responsible for meeting legal requirements and following internal policies.
What we are looking for:
- Must be able to design Excel worksheets at the intermediate level and to design merge documents in Word. Proficient with PC and related software such as Excel, Word, and Power Point

Work Environment
This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.
Position Type and Expected Hours of Work
This is a full-time position. Days and hours of work are Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
Education and Experience
- Must have at least 5 years’ experience in Document Management or Collateral Management
- Thorough knowledge of MS Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint & Word)
- A minimum of three years’ experience in the financial/mortgage services industry is required.
